Its time for The Big Paw Project’s Spring pop up!!

We are so excited to have them at our Greenfield location. This year we’re focusing on Monty’s home, a Pender county based rescue founded in 2007. This wonderful rescue has created many successful programs and runs the Animal Lover’s Thrift Shop, which also helps fund their mission.

Amongst these programs is the PPPP. In 2008, Monty’s home received state approval to start the Pawsitive Partners Prison Program in conjunction with a local correctional facility. The state generously provided funds to build kennels at the correction facility, but Monty’s Home assumes all other costs associated with the program – veterinary bills, grooming supplies, food, toys, bedding, leashes, collars, treats – all expenses associated with proper canine care and training.

Dogs are selected from the local shelter, and are temperament and heart worm tested, spay/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations before entering the Pawsitive Partners Prison Program. Living at the facility with their specialty screened inmate-trainers, the dogs go through a seven week training course, and then become adoptable through Monty’s Home before the cycle starts again with new dogs! It’s an incredible program for all involved. This important program is totally staffed by volunteers and exists only through your generous donations.

We will also have a group of awesome local makers selling their goods. As always, our vendors use your purchases to give back to the rescue too. It’s an all around win!

DJ Venus flytrap will be joining us for good energy and background beats.
True Blue Butcher & Barrel (right next door) will be offering $10 Smash Burgers with $5 of each burger sold going back to Monty’s Home!
